Hi, 

is there any recommended circuit for this driver for mosfet short circuit protection and protection of this chip?

    Hi Raymond,

    You can protect the UCC23313 chip with TVS diodes across the VDD and VSS output supply. That will protect against the most common causes of failure.

    Short circuit protection of the SiC FET is more complicated, and the recommendation is to use a different device like the UCC21750, which has integrated comparators, deglitch filters, and soft turn off, which will be required to detect and interrupt short circuit conditions correctly.
