Currently designing a new portable device I am looking for Li-ion cells compatible with JEITA charge temperature profil.
The JEITA temperature profil extends charge temperature above 45° applying a voltage derating to the Li-ion cell. This is explained in the TI article found at : http://www.ti.com/lit/an/slyt365/slyt365.pdf
I have selected the BQ24171 charger that supports this charging scheme but I am now looking for Li-ion cells that also support this scheme.
The Li-ion cell assembler I am in contact with told me that this JEITA charging scheme is not standard and can not be used with any Li-ion cells.
Do you know any cell manufacturer that supports this exteneded charging temperature profil?
