Hey all,
I'm curious if the LM74700-Q1 can be used to control a FET without a body diode.
Thanks,
Robert

Hi Robert,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
The body diode in MOSFETs is often drawn as a physical diode next to the MOSFET, it's not actually a discrete building block of a MOSFET. It is a 'parasitic' element that exists inherently because of the silicon build-up of a MOSFET and hence there are no MOSFETs without body diodes.

Hey Praveen and Shiven,
This was a theoretical question I was having with someone else. I've linked a 4 terminal FET below that has the Subtrate on its own pin. I know they aren't many of them, but with with technologies like GaN coming out that don't have body diodes I was just curious.

Hi Robert,
There shouldn't be any issue with using MOSFET without a body diode.
