BQ28Z610-R1: Gas Gauge parameters updated during relaxation

The gauge is behaving as intended. The problem I see is that the gauge did not detect valid charge termination. In the gg file, you have Charge Term Taper  Current set to 50 mA, yet in the log file, the current goes as low as 80 mA then cuts off. The gauge updated FCC to a new lower value which caused the jump in RSOC from 97 to 100. If you are concerned about the RSOC jump, then you should charge the battery further (making sure the taper current goes lower  than 50 mA) or change that parameter (Charge Term Taper Current) in data memory.

Hey Charles-Elie,

So sorry for the delay. I had to consult multiple members on my team. Unfortunately, there is not much that can be done to constrain FCC updates as this is how the gauge works. The gauge is continually learning the true FCC of the battery. There is one small thing that I can be done to update FCC less frequently and that is to enable smoothing. However, I checked your gg file and I noticed that smoothing is already enable. Therefore, there is nothing much more that can be done.
