I want use BQ25798 to control battery and load.

Charging the battery with solar energy (PV panel)

How should I connect the circuit diagram and which pins is need to be used. (VAC1?BATP? SCL? SDA? SYS?)

Battery: 5200mAh 7.4V 38.5Wh 2S2P LI-ION

Hello Xiufa,

Thanks for being patient with the delay. There's been a mix up with the system.

For VAC1, the BQ25798 can support 2 inputs. Because you have a solar panel, you can connect VAC1 to VBUS.

BATP is used to measure the voltage on the battery. You can connect BATP to BAT or to the battery pack itself.

For SYS, the BQ25798 is a NVDC charger. SYS should connect to the system load of the charger.

SDA and SCL are used for I2C.

You can follow the EVM User's Guide and the BQ25798 Schematic Checklist for other tips on how to connect the pins.

Keep in mind, the BQ25798 has a max charge current of 5A.
