Functional Safety failure rates

You will need to refer to the specific standards (SN29500, IECs, etc..) to estimate this. Some of our devices which are on compliance with a certain functional safety will have it mentioned on the first page of the datasheet. Both the BQ769142 and BQ772116 have not been internally qualified to any standard by TI, but they are capable of meeting multiple standards but the end-user will need to do their own assessment and reach out to the standard compliance company for systems level validation. 

On a quick look at the SN29500 the table to reference will be for ICs with A/D Converters. For the BQ769142 will be a programmable IC. You can use this to calculate your FIT Rate Model.
