Hi 

I want to use TPS54318 for our new design, and i want to know phase margin and gain  using p spice simulation tool.

I already simulate TPS54318 and found phase margin and gain margin result in p spice, but we have a some dot regarding this,

I am using below formula for phase margin and Gain margin calculation

PhaseMargin(DB(V(VOUT)),-180+P(V(vout)))

GainMargin(P(V(VOUT))-180, DB(V(VOUT)))

Can you please suggest the above formula is correct or not??

    Hi Niranjan,

    Not sure if you really need to use the 180 degrees in the formula. I usually use the cursor in PSPICE to find the phase margin and gain margin. 

    You can turn on the cursors by clicking the arrow highlighted in red below. Left mouse and drag to move cursor1. Right mouse and drag to move cursor2.

    Click the arrow button again if you want to turn off the cursors.
