TPS65991EVM: CE/EU Declaration of Conformity (aka EU DoC) required

Part Number: TPS65991EVM

Hi

Please provide the CE/EU Declaration of Conformity for this product.

The product is CE-marked, however, the CE/EU Declaration of Conformity is not available on the T.I website.

Thanks

  • Sorry, team is out of office today 'coz of US holiday - Please allow a delayed response to your post.

  • Hi Praneett, that is fine, i will wait to hear back from you later on this week. Thank you

  • Hi Chris,

Praneet assigned this thread to me, let me check on this

  • Hi Adam, OK, i wait to hear back from you.

  • While I look into this, might I know the reason for this request? The TPS65991EVM is actually a device that we want to remove from our website as the main IC is not available on ti.com.

  • Hi Adam

This request is to meet our legal obligation when offering this product online to the EU/UK marketbl, obigations that come because the product is CE-marked.

This product is active in our portfolio and currently being offered to the EU market and the CE directives request that the entity offering CE-marked/CE-certified products to the EU market must hold in their records a copy of the CE.EU Declaration of Conformity.

This obligation is in all the CE Directives, ROHS Directive 2011/65/EU included. (Access ROHS Directive HERE) Under Obligations of the Importer Article 9. g

Equally, the manufacturer has the obligation to draw the CE/EU Declaration of Conformity for the products they decide to CE mark, they must also keep the CE/EU Declaration of Conformity up to date for the life of the product and must keep it in their records for 10years after the last sales.

This obligation is stated in all the CE Directives, you may for example refer to the ROHS Directive 2011/65/EU (Access HERE) Under Obligations of the Manufacturer Article 7. c, d and e.

If the product does not meet current CE compliance, T.I. would need to cease applying the CE mark to the product.

We, Mouser, would also have to update the part in our system to restrict it from being offered to the EU/UK markets.

FYI This SKU was only recently added to our portfolio.

So long as it remains active, and CE marked, we will still need the CE/EU DoC....but you mentioned TI is "considering" removing this product from their active portfolio.

If it is definitely OBSOLETE, then you will need to formally email me this information (you have access to my email in my profile, I believe) and I would relay it to the Mouser SM in charge of the TI account to get it 86'.

Thank you again in advance for your help,

  • Thank you for the additional context. I sent you an email and we can continue this through there
