BQ27427: How to wire fuel gauge with charger ic correctly?

Part Number: BQ27427
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ21080

In my project, I considering BQ21080 (=charger IC) and BQ27427 (=fuel gauge).

Is this right wiring? For fuel-gauge to monitor the current flow in both charging/discharging phase, I think those two ic should be wired up like below.

However, when you see the BQ27427's datasheet, SRX input voltage can't be over "Vbat +/- 0.3V" which doesn't make sense considering lion charger's multiple phase of charging.

If am wrong, what part I am wrong?
