Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS22950
Hi, LM7310 support team
My customer uses LM73100 as USB-C Port Sink switch. He asks me if LM73100 has already gotten UL certification.
Has UL certification been gotten?

Tamio

Hi Yokokura-san,
I believe UL certification is only for current-limited switches such as TPS22950, which is UL certified. LM73100 does not have current limiting.
Can you confirm where UL certification is applicable?
Thanks,
Patrick
Hi, Patrick
I understand that UL certification is required against the devices with the current limit and over-current protection feature, and LM7310 doesn't have any current protection feature. I thought it might have been UL certified, so I checked.
As a reference, their system ship worldwide.
Thanks
Hi Yokokura-san,
The only load switches with UL certification we have are TPS22950 and TPS2294x, and we also have some eFuses that are UL certified, if the customer requires it.
If they don't explicitly need it if there is no current limiting, they are fine with LM73100. Do you need anything additional from my side?
Thanks,
Patrick
