BQ34Z100-R2: FCC update timing and discharge current accuracy

Hi All,

I have a question about BQ34Z100-R2 and BQ28Z620DRZR.

When will the FCC be updated?
Since it is an Impedance Track product, I think it updates in real time, is my understanding correct?

I would also like to know the detection accuracy of discharge current.
Is it possible to detect discharge current at 1mA or less? Also, will that value be reflected in the remaining RM value?

Hey Shuji,

The gauge updates unfiltered FCC at any one of the following events:

After a full reset
Start of charging
End of charging
Start of discharge
DOD grid point cross during discharge
Change in Temperature
SOH update
When OCV measurement is taken
When Qmax updates

It is not possible to detect a discharge current of 1 mA or less with our gauges.

Will Impedance Track update the FCC on these events for all products?
How accurate is discharge detection? 10mA or 100mA

Hey Shuji,

Yes, for all impedance track gauges, FCC will update on these events.
Once the gauge is calibrated it should be very accurate for any discharge current
