TPS23523: TPS23523 Design Question

Part Number: TPS23523

Team,

I want to check with you about 2 questions for my customer. Thanks.

1. For the spec as below, when VSNS voltage is about VSNS, TMR1, the Timer will start counting. the D/S only indicates the typical and min value, we want to check the max value. Is it possible that when VSNS voltage is higher than 2.5mV but the timer doesn't start counting.

2. Is there a distribution data of the VSNS to trigger the timer? They need to do the tolerance analyze.

Regards,

QIang

  • Hi QIang,

This specification is required for this below design calculation which prevents running the fault timer during inrush.

The minimum value of VSNS, TMR1 is important for the worst calculation, not the maximum one. The customer should consider 1.5mV as a minimum value and do the worst case calculation.
