BQ40Z50: BQ40Z50 Check whether the function can be implemented

I have clients who want to know about the following needs:

1. Can the BQ40Z50 use a microprocessor to meet the following requirements for external triggering and control use?

a. In the case that the drone/charger butler does not press the switch button to trigger, the battery can be controlled not to send voltage;

b. The drone/charger butler gives the on-off signal, and the battery sends out the voltage. Battery and drone/charger butler interface only p+/p-/I2C, 4 signals.

2. The difference between BQ9003 and BQ40Z50, package compatibility, the realization of functions are the same? What are the differences?

    I believe that this can be accomplished by enabling and disabling the FETs of the gauge. The microcontroller can send the required commands to do this in the situations listed above. More about the individual commands to the gauge can be found in the bq40z50 TRM:

    Although the packages seem similar, there are hardware differences between bq40z50 and the bq9003. If bq40z50 firmware is placed on bq9003, it will not work correctly.
