In-charge person
We need to know specification about ambient temperature change.
When BQ25172 detected COOL STATUS, charge IC operate OVP in 1.45V ~ 1.55V of battery voltage.
If BQ25172 keep to detect COOL STATUS OVP and ambient temperature is rises ,
please let me know how does operate this IC's charge and STAT pin.
For example,
[1]
TS Voltage : 780mV
Battery Voltage : 1.20V
⇒ BQ25172 charges battery.
[2] Following the state of [1]
TS Voltage : 780mV
Battery Voltage : change from 1.20V to 1.50V
⇒ BQ25172 detect OVP as COOL STATUS.
So charge IC stop to charge and blink to STAT pin / LED.
[3] Following the state of [2]
TS Voltage : change from 780mV to 500mV
Battery Voltage : keeping 1.50V
⇒ Please let me know about the operating specifications, especially STAT pin and charge operation, of the charging IC at above situation.
As our evaluation result,
charge operation : keep stopping
STAT pin / LED : keep blinking
Are our confirmation correct opperation according to BQ25172 specification?
