One of my customers has the below questions on the BQ25600D D+/D- pins. Let me know what you think about them and thanks in advance for your assistance!
"While doing a TDR analysis on our USB lines, I noticed some discrepancies and wanted to get your input on BQ25600D
- What is the state of D+/D- pins when BQ is unpowered? Can unpowered BQ present an impedance discontinuity to the D+/D- lines?
- When BQ is powered, what needs to be done to open the internal switch on D+/D- so the lines dont see a discontinuity while USB traffic is present?
- Does TI recommend daisy chaining the D+/D- with other components on those lines or should an external switch be placed to disconnect D+/D- to BQ when not in use?"
