LM3549: power up sequence

Part Number: LM3549

Hi Team,

below are several questions on LM3549

1. for brightness control, if just use I2C register, then can PWM pin be floating? we can ignore the PWM input signal at this time, right?

2. is there power sequence requirement between Vdd, EN, R/G/B_EN?

Thanks.

  • Hi Given,

Could you please tell me your application information since this is a bit old device? If you only want to use I2C interface to control the output, we have other new device with better process and better performance than LM3549. If you don't mind, please tell me your application requirements and I can provide best solution for you. Only compared with LM3549, I think LP5811 is a better choice.

For your questions, please refer the below comments:

    [Jared]: Yes.

2.Is there power sequence requirement between Vdd, EN, R/G/B_EN?

[Jared]: Since it's a bit old device, I am not sure the power sequence, but I think it should be ok if you follow the order of VDD, EN, R/G/B_EN.
