Does BQ34110 supports Li-SOCl2 as BQ35100 supports it with chemID?

Is BQ34110's battery chemistry easily configured as BQ35100?

Hello Marwan,

It is recommended that the BQ35100 is used with Li-SOCL2 batteries as this gauge is designed specifically for primary batteries. Configuring the battery chemistry is the same for both gauges.

Hi Richards,

The application will rarely discharge the battery, which will make BQ34110 more suitable than BQ35100,

also I couldn't find that BQ34110 does support Li-SOCL2.

The following picture from SLUUB45B "Simple Guide to CEDV Data Collection for Gauging
Parameter Calculator (GPC)"

GPC tool is used to program the battery parameters of BQ34110 gauge does not mention Li-SOCL2.

Hello Marwan,

No, the BQ34110 does not support Li-SOCL2. Only the BQ35100 does.
