TPS929240-Q1: UART Interface Address

Part Number: TPS929240-Q1

Hi Team,

My customer uses 3pcs TPS929240-Q1 in their project and the TPS929240-Q1 is configured by EXTERNAL ADDRESS ADDR2/ADDR1/ADDR0 pins.

The chip with address DEVADDR[3]: ADDR2: ADDR1: ADDR0= 0:0:0:0 can communicate properly and function properly, but the chip with address DEVADDR[3]: ADDR2ADDR1ADDR0= 0:1:1:1 cannot communicate properly.

The CRC has been checked via TPS929240-Q1 EEPROM Configuration design tool.

Could you please give some comments about the issue? Thanks.

Regards,

Ivy

  • Ivy,

    1. Can they try different address like F to see it works?

    2. Check if VLDO is 5V  and IREF voltage is normal?

    3. Check if RX pin receives frames and pls share the waveform.

    4. can ABA test be tried? Swap between chips and see if it follows board or chip.
