TPS7H5001-SP: Weird behavior of the compensation pin

Part Number: TPS7H5001-SP

Hello,

I am running the simulation for the TPS7H5001-SP in a multiphase configuration. During the simulation, there is a little spike during a DC current draw. It looks like the compensation pin drops from 2V after start up and then at a certain point will drop down to 1V which causes a transient in the output voltage.

Im not sure what would cause this as it is pulling a steady 30A DC. I have tried playing around with the COMP network values but have seen this event occur with different R and C values.

These are the current values that I am using:

RCOMP: 49.9k

CCOMP: 4.7nF

CHF: 0.47nF

Im wondering if its switching between modes? Or is it something to do with the SS, as the SS voltage keeps rising throughout the simulation.CSS is 20nF.

Thank you

Albert
