UCC28782: Recommendation for 120VAC to 24VDC, DIN Application

Yes UCC28782 can definitely be used for this application. But it depends on the specifications of the customer as this is a high performance flyback which comes with increased cost, but provides highest efficiency (close to 93%). Please refer the following solution which shows an implementation close to customer specifications.

If the output voltage variation is fixed, you can also consider UCC28780 (which comes without the integrated boost converter). In case of UCC28782 if this pin is not used it just needs to be shorted.

There are other numerous options with UCC287xx family of devices which will provide a lower cost option but efficiency will be between (84-88%).
