TPS23881: How can we set this device in Diagnostic mode

Hi, 

We have TPS23881  on our board abd its firmware load at i2c set this device in Auto mode. 

if we set the 0x12 register to set in Manual/ diags mode, the 0x12 register become 0x00 which is off mode. 

is there any set of steps /sequence of command to make the poe controller in manual mode ? if yes please share.
