TPS65381A-Q1: Using VCP as a reverse battery and shutoff gate supply

Part Number: TPS65381A-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS1211-Q1, LM74502-Q1

I am looking to have back to back Nfets in order to allow physical shutoff of power from Vbat and to protect for reverse battery. Can i use VCP as the gate drive for this? Or is there a reference on how i could do this? looking to have low quiescent current, but i am using some devices which dont have standby modes so need to shut them off and your circuit only provides reverse battery protection examples.

  • Hi Ben,

Unfortunately, since this is an NDA part and your company does not have an NDA agreement with TI, I cannot really answer this question. However, from what you are describing perhaps a TPS1211-Q1 or LM74502-Q1 would be useful. Please get in contact with your local TI sales representative for further support.

    Best,
