We are currently in search of a new generation power management integrated circuit (IC) with battery charging capability, and an inbuilt fuel gauge would be an additional advantage if available.
Our specific requirements are outlined below:
Power Adapter Specifications:
- Input: 100 - 240V AC, 50/60Hz
- Output: 5V DC, 3.0A
Battery Specifications:
- Voltage: 3.7V
- Capacity: 3200mAh
- single cell of Li ion / polymer
- charging current 3A
Communication Requirements:
- Support for I2C communication protocol
Additionally, the IC should incorporate power path technique functionality. The smart power path charger supports two inputs with reverse blocking and USB On-the Go (OTG) and charging the battery,
when power adapter input is applied it has to supply the system and charge the battery and when in absence of power adapter, battery has to supply the power to the system.
We have identified the MAX77818 IC from analog device as a reference point and are looking for alternatives with similar specifications.
Furthermore, we require support for driver and software integration, including any necessary modifications.
Could you kindly provide recommendations for suitable power management ICs that meet these specifications from TI ?
