LP5860: Is this the right driver

Hello

I have a design requirement where I need to drive 198 bidirectional leds. The LED forward voltage in one direction is 2.0V and in the direction is 1.4V, the current is 20mA. My question is

1) Is there a way to use the LP5860 to drive the LED

2) Is there another device that i should use.

1. Yes, LP5860 can satisfy your requirement.

2. I think LP5860 is the best option.

Can you provide a sample method of connection as I am not sure how to connect the bi-color leds using the LP5860.

Hello Jared,

Thank you for the suggestion and I did review the EVM schematics but I am still unclear on how to implement this with the LEDs in my design.

How would I use this with the LP5860, as I have stated earlier I a requirement of driving 207 of these LEDs and I would like to cycle between the 2 wavelengths at a frequency of 100-200 Hz

Hi Mike,

I am sorry that I didn't pay attention to the LEDs you mean is a bidirectional LEDs. So, you want to drive total 198 bidirectional LEDs, means total 396 LED dots, right?
