BQ34Z100: SOC Jumping from 75% to 3%

Hi,

We program the BQ34Z100 during production and then disconnect the battery for shipping to the customer. We are seeing huge jumps in SOC when the battery is reconnected. The battery powers the BQ34Z100 as well as the appliance (which also charges the battery).

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Adrian,

Can you share a bqstudio log file of the jump?

Was a chemID match obtained with dod% error of 3% or less?

Was a learning cycle completed?

No, the dod% error is not 3% or less because you didn't send me the address to which I can send the battery to get a chemID match!
