TPS54040: Webench/Simulation support for Inverting Buck-Boost topology

Hi,

I'm trying to use TPS54040 as an inverting buck boost converter, and with the part values that I have calculated from the spreadsheet tool, I haven't got any results that make sense with the simulation tools provided.

I was wondering if Webench supports this part's IBB topology, or if there are any ways that I can simulate my design before testing with the actual board.

Hello,

IBB designs are not available in Webench for the TPS54040. You can use the PSPICE model to simulate the design. However, the PSPICE model is not dedicated for IBB. The internal circuits of the model will be referenced to GND rather than -Vout. You will have to simulate the design by boot-strapping the input supply. Hello,

I was unable to open your design file. However, I setup an example and it appears to be working as expected. Please use the files I post here. Remember to reference your measurements to where the GND will be on your application circuit when measuring signals:
