In SLVT145k, Power Management Guide, I read that TI now offers bqTESLA wireless charging products. From its name and wireless power feature, it seems the product is related to the wireless power transmission idea and experiments of Nikola Tesla in the last century. Are they related?
And I also remember reading that an MIT group succeeded in demonstrating some wireless power transmission technology in 2007. Now it is 2011, what are the relationship between that demonstration and this product? Is bqTESLA the commercialization of the MIT technology?
