BQ76952: I want to limit battery charging to 200mA.

Part Number: BQ76952

Does this device only monitor the battery, not control the charge rate?

How do I control the charge rate of a 9-cell LiFePo stack?

  • Hello Steven,

This device will only control the current path. So it can block currents if there's too large of a charge or discharge current or based on different configurations.

You can set-up the device to stop charging if current goes above a certain value.

If you want a way to control charging current, you may need a charger IC that may be able to do it. In that case, you should open a new E2E thread to ask about recommendations for charger IC's, since the charger IC's is handled by a different team.

    Best Regards,
