UC2845: UC2845AD8TR production status

Part Number: UC2845

I have the UC2845AD8TR on my PCA parts list and this has been flagged as being placed on LTB status by TI.

Does TI offer a direct replacement for the UC2845AD8TR device ?

    Hi Matt, TI offers the TL2845DR-8 as a functional replacement for the UC2845A, however they are not pin-to-pin compatible.

    Hi Ray thanks for the response however I am a bit confused as I have since found that the UC3845AD8TRG4 is available and appears to have an active production status and this appears to be a pin compatible / direct replacement part. Can you confirm what material difference exists between the UC3845AD8TRG4 and UC2845AD8TR part numbers. Thanks.

    Hi Matt,

    Very sorry for the error! I mis-read the part number as UC2845ADTR (which is on LTB) rather than UC2845AD8TR.

    I confirmed that the UC2845AD8TR will continue to be supported in our 300mm process into the foreseeable future (so not LTB).

    Can you confirm that UC2845AD8TR is the exact part number in the notification you received?

    Hi Ray my apologies the exact part number for the LTB flagged part we have is UC2845AD8G4 (not UC2845AD8TR as I had originally stated) I have just compared the specifications for the UC3845AD8TRG4 however I can now see this is not an industrial grade device (temp range is 0C to 70C only) so this is not a direct alternative for our application. So it looks like TI have discontinued the industrial screening but not the actual fabrication of the part.

    UC2845AD8TR is the exact same part as UC2845AD8G4 and is not LTB. The only difference is final packaging: tube vs. tape-and-reel (tube option is being eliminated for this product).
