Hi, 

Related to SLUA903- "Achieving The Successful Learning Cycle"

I am trying to perform a full learning cycle with the evaluation board.

The Update Status is now showing 0E and according to the SLUA903,

before saving the golden file I need to set the update status to 02 to disable IT gauging.

1. How do I set the update status to 02 using the BQstudio GUI?

2. After uploading the golden file to the target PCB, is it required to perform anther learning cycle?

    Hey Uri,

    To set update status to 02, you would need to disable gauging. To do that, you would need to send the "Gauge_EN" command in BQStudio. Once you do that the "ITEN" bit in Lstatus register should be low (green) and now you are good to create the golden image.

    No, you do not need to perform another learning cycle when the file is uploaded.

    Thanks for your answer.

    After sending "Gauge_EN" command,

    the "update status" register updated to 10 (0x0A) and not to 0x02 (BIT1 and BIT3 are set).

    Should I clear BIT3 or leave it set before creating the Golden Image?

    No don't clear BIT3. Leave that set. The gauge is now ready to create the Golden Image.
