Does the BQ25790 guarantee that it meets the requirements of "current limiting IC" as specified in G.9 of the European safety standard EN62368-1?
In the verification of a single fault condition in the European safety standard, a short circuit on each terminal of each component must be verified.
We want to prevent the USB PD from flowing 5-20V, up to 3A, into the battery or circuit due to a short circuit.
If a component is defined as a "current-limiting IC" as defined in section G.9 of the safety standard, is there a recognition that the component does not have to take short circuits into account in accordance with the regulations?
