BQ75614-Q1: fault masking and automatic transition to SLEEP

Part Number: BQ75614-Q1

Hello TI team,

Are there any faults which can not be masked to reflect its effect on NFAULT pin?

What condition can cause NFAULT pin to go low and AFE to enter SLEEP state?

-Mahendra

  • Hi Mahendra,

NFAULT triggers (goes low) off of FAULT_SUMMARY. You can look at the fault registers (FAULT_SUMMARY, FAULT_PWR, etc) to see what specifically raises an error. To find information about masking faults for NFAULT, refer to page 56 of the BQ75614 Datasheet to see which masks cover which faults. For information on how to toggle the different power modes of the IC, refer to page 74 for the Power State Diagram.

    Sincerely,

    Michelle W.
