TPS3808: Maximum MR internal pull-up resistance

Part Number: TPS3808

Hi,

We are controlling the pin MR of TPS3808 with a MOSFET. But, the leak into the transistor make the MR pin to trig because of the drop into the MR pull-up resistor. This occur only when we are testing the circuit in high temperature. Our current MOSFET is leaking up to 10uA at high temperature, this lead to a drop at MR pin that is enough to activate the MR pin.

So we were wondering if it is possible to know the maximum pull-up resistance of MR so we can find the good MOSFET with a leak that fit with the maximum pull-up resistor of MR pin.

We don't want to add a weaker pull-up in parallel with MR because we want to be low power as possible.

  • Hi Germain,

Thanks for your question. I'll ask my team and get back to you on this by Tuesday.

  • Hi Germain,

I checked with my team to see if we can find the maximum pull-up resistance value of MR for you, but unfortunately I need to inform you that we don't have exact maximum internal resistance value. Please use the typical value for your calculations to find a good MOSFET that can meet your leakage current requirement.

The maximum low input voltage is defined as 0.3VDD in the datasheet for the MR pin not to assert the reset signal.

Please let me know if you have more question. I hope this helps!

    Sila
