I am developing new project on bq78LP116 for 5s1p to 5s3p battery stack with LP605590 cells (li-polymer 3.7V 3.4Ah) from EEMB Battery. I am wondering if there is rule for calculating balancing current value. Some percentage of pack capacity ?
In last project on bq20z60 + AFE for 4s6p battery stack with ANR26650M1 cells (Li-FePO4 3.3V 2.3Ah) from A123 i used 6.8Ohm resistors with external FETs balancing circuit which is 3V/6.8OHM *DUTY =180mA balancing current. I HOPE that is enough but i want to be sure.
PS. Do you know what is best CHEM ID for LP605590 cells ?
