Hello,

we need to supply device in powerbank mode with TPS65988CERJTR.

The minimum power required is 30W.

could it possible to negotiate 5V 6A contract ?

    Hi Elvina,

    The maximum current for PD source contracts is 5A. A 6A contract is not possible.

    To achieve 30W sourcing in powerbank mode, you will need a 6V, 5A source contract or other combination where max current is 5A or less.

    Hi Elvina,

    Sourcing a non-standard current (>5A) PDO is only allowed if both the sink and source identify each other. Please find excerpts from the PD spec under article 10.2.3.1 Optional Normative Fixed, Variable and Battery Supply
