UC1846-SP: VC Gate Drive Supply Minimum?

Hello,

The UC1846-SP datasheet shows a pin for the gate drive voltage, VC. The absolute max ratings show the VC voltage should be no greater than 40V. Is there an operational minimum for this supply pin?

Can the gate drive output function at VC = 12V, 5V or 3.3V?

Hey Edwin,

The UVLO is listed for this part at 8 V max.
So 12 V would be fine, but not the other two.

HI Daniel, thank you for the response. The datasheet for UC1846-SP shows the UVLO is for the VIN supply input, not the VC supply input. Does the UVLO also apply to the VC input?

Hey Edwin,

Apologies I will clarify it for the VC rail.
You are correct that there is not UVLO on the VC rail.

There isn't technically a minimum for the rail outside of how low you can run your FETs.
The rail has only been characterized at 15 V so the drop from the high side FET of the push-pull output would be unknown.
