a colleague of mine asked about a way to speed up the Testing during the PCB Manufacturing, not the actual Pack. Currently we test Over and Undervoltage to achieve 100% Functional Testing but the Timings are quite long so it takes additional time just to wait for the Detection to set the Bits and shut off the FETs.
A while ago i remember there was some option in a bq to reduce the Timings by a factor of 10 when put in a kind of Fast Testmode but i could not remember what bq it actually was. Is there a way to do the same with the bq78350?
If not, i think as long as the Chip is reading the Voltage and the FETs are tested under Load in another Step anyway, there is no "real" Value for Testing the Function in the Production since the general Configuration has to be validated during the Development Process, the Firmware is checked by CRC and the used Hardwareparts (ADC and FET Drivers) ar Tested seperatly on other Steps of the Test.
What is the Recommendation from TI for production Testing on these Questions?
