TPS61088: Pulsing the EN pin

Part Number: TPS61088

Hi support team,

Is there any problem with pulsing the EN pin?

For example,
・Product life
・Output waveform distortion
Does it have any impact?

CSS is 47μF and Soft-start time is set to 0.011s.

Regards,
Dice-K

  • Hi Dice-K,

thank you for using the E2E forum.
Due to a public holiday this Thursday and Friday the expert of this device is out of office.
Please expect a reply beginning of next week.

    Best regards,
    Stefan

  • Hi Dice-K,

    1. The Iss is 5uA and when Css is 47uF, the soft start time is calculated to be 11s. Maybe CSS should be 47nF.

    2. There will be no impact on the product life and distortion.

Please be noted that when EN is low, the output voltage will be equal to (slightly lower) Vin voltage, as the body diode of upper MOS is always on.

    Best Regards,

    Fergus
