Other Parts Discussed in Thread: USB2ANY
Hello, I'm trying to design a battery management system using 2 BQ79612 and BQ79600. However, I'm stuck on some parts.
1)If the negative terminal of cell 1 is connected to AVSS via an RC filter, then the negative terminal of cell 13, or rather the positive terminal of cell 12, should be connected to AVSS via an RC filter as well. In this case, as you can see in the diagram, should VC 11 and CB 11 be connected to AVSS? Or what should be the ground of the second BQ79616?
2) The connections such as VC13, CB13, etc. for the use of BQ79616 for 12 cells are shown in two different ways in the datasheet. Which way should I choose?
3) "When connecting the COMHP/N of the 2nd BQ79616 to the COMLP/N of the 1st BQ79616, how should the grounding be done? Should the capacitors of the part belonging to the 2nd BQ be connected to their own integrated grounds or to the grounds of the 1st BQ?"
4)Can I use both BQ79616s and BQ79600 on the same PCB?
if i can. Can I connect the Com connection between BQ79600 and the 1st BQ79616 with just a capacitor as shown in the figure below? (Is it necessary to use a transformer?)
5) If we are not using the GPIO pins of the BQ79616, can I leave them unconnected (NC)? Or do I need to connect them to AVSS with 10kohm resistors
6) Do I have to externally power the VIO pin of the BQ79600 as shown in the datasheet? Can't I power it from the 5V pin of the Arduino or the 3.3V pin of the USB2ANY?
7) I want to communicate with the BQ79600 using UART protocol either with ARDUINO MEGA or USB2ANY. I made the connections as shown below. Can you tell me if the connections are correct?
