TPS65987D: Source and UFP at the same time

Hi Team,

I'm currently design a solution that connect POS device and IPAD, searching for a USB-C PD controller that could be source and UFP at the same time, this application is similar with usage in this link: TPS65987D: Audio is not received from an iOS device attached using a USB-C to Lightning cable - Interface forum - Interface - TI E2E support forums, I also attached the simple block diagram of this application.

I want to know if TPS65987D could work as UFP and source at the same time? Thanks a lot.

    Hi ,

    Thanks for reaching out.

    TPS65987D can work as a Source and a UFP ( After a DataRole Swap , as Source will always be a DFP Data role to begin with during PD negotiation).
