Hi there,

I am trying to perform OTP programming but noticed BQstudio is missing subcommands:

OTP_WR_CHECK() (Subcommand 0x00A0)

OTP_WRITE() subcommand (0x00A1)

I am using BQstudio version 1.3.124. Is there anyway to add these subcommands to the "Commands" window? I read through the help file and it mentioned:

The commands shown in this view are configurable using the commands.xml in the bqz.Commands

I cannot find this file and am not sure how to do this.

The other thing it mentions is Advanced Comm SMB below. But I cannot find this tool in my version of BQstudio. There is "Command Sequence" but I am unsure how to use this to send subcommands. If this is possible could you give me an example on how to send OTP_WR_CHECK() or OTP_WRITE()? My BQ76952 is at the default address setting of 0x10.

Hello Steven,

You can see examples of the 'Command Sequence' window in Figure 1-5. BQStudio Example Showing Execution of Multiple Direct Commands of the BQ769x2 Software Development Guide.

The OTP commands were not added in the bqStudio commands. For OTP programming with bqStudio, there is a 'Program OTP' button. Otherwise, you'll have to enter these manually in the 'Command Sequence' window.

Hi Luis,

I was able to manually enter these code steps using your example. I could not find the 'Program OTP' button however. Could you please guide me where I can find this as it is not in my commands panel in bqstudio. I am using 1.3.124.

You can find it here:

It is greyed out in my image, since I just opened bqStudio without a part connected to take the image.

If you have the part connected, this will open a new window where you can perform an OTP write.
