TPS62825: TPS6282x Switch Current Limit and HICCUP Short-Circuit Protection

Part Number: TPS62825

According to the data sheet
Although the detection time for overcurrent detection is listed as 32 cycles (about 13μs),
Calculating 32 cycles (at 2MHz)
1/2,200,000 * 32 = 145us.
This calculation result is different from 13us, but what is the number of cycles for 32 cycles?

Thanks

  • Hi,

There is an error in your calculation. The result is 14.5us not 145us.

Also the frequency won't be exactly 2.2MHz in current limit operation. This is because the high side phase gets terminated when inductor current hits current limit.

    Best regards,
