TPIC6C595: as replacement for 74HC595 + ULN2803

Hello team,

is it possible without SW adoptions to change a combination of 74HC595 + ULN2803 by the TPIC6C595?

The loads are small signal relays with ~10ma current per channel.

Questions 1: Is TPIC6C595 completely identical from a SW point of view?

Question 2: What is the max clock frequency for SRCK for RT and temp range -40°...+85°C

Hi Michael,

TPIC6C595 will be EOL, so we don't recommend this device. TLC6C598-Q1 would be a recommendation.

But for this relay application, please add the clamp circuit on the output for protection.

The max clock frequency for SRCK is shown in the datasheet, also the test condition, including the temperature.
