TPS7B86-Q1: Dropout mode can't recover

Part Number: TPS7B86-Q1

Hi Team,

We are doing some test with a board powered by TPS7B8650QDDARQ1.

The typical input is from 12V battery, when we decrease the input voltage to around 6V, the output voltage turns to 3.3V. I suppose it should be into dropout mode. But when we let the power supply back to 12V, the output voltage is still cannot get back to 5V, kept at around 3.3V.

Unless we cut off the power then restart, the output can't recover to 5V.

May need your insight here what reason cause this performance?

Many thanks!

Best,

Frank
