BQ34Z100: Locked Controller

These are the steps we are taking: 

The BQ34Z100 controller is recognized in the TI BQ Battery Management Studio software.

The statuses of the "FAS" and "SS" registers indicate that the controller is blocked for user modification of the battery settings.

To unlock the BQ34Z100 controller, modify the settings in order to restore the performance of the battery and calibrate it, you must specify the keys:

UNSEAL KEY – controller unlock key;

UNSEAL_FULL_ACCESS KEY - full access key to the controller; AUTHENTICATION KEY - authentication key.

P.S.: By default, access keys -

UNSEAL= 36720414

UNSEAL_FULL_ACCESS= FFFFFFFF

AUTHENTICATION KEY= 0123456789ABCDEFFEDCBA987654321

However, these keys are not suitable and the controller has not unlocked.

Please advise if we are missing a step or doing something incorrectly or inputing the incorrect numbers.

After following the steps in the TRM and the FAQ, you were still unsuccessful? If this is the case, then it is possible that the keys could have been changed at some point, causing you to not be able to use the default keys to unseal the gauge.
