TPS7H6003-SP: Syncronus Boost DCDC Converter

Part Number: TPS7H6003-SP

I'm looking to build a syncronus dcdc boost converter to go from 12V to 200V based on the topology below. The PWM signals will be generated by a microcontroller running a control loop. This is needed so the output voltage can be adjusted through software from anywhere between 25V and 200V, and at times this will require the dcdc converter to sink current as we drop the output voltage (the load is apactive).

I'm looking for a suitable gate driver that is radiation tolerant (>30kRad) and I am considering using the TPS7H6003-SP. Would this be a suitable candidate?

  • Hey,

The TPS7H6003-SP might not technically meet the requirement due to the voltage of the boost node being higher than the output by a bit.

With such a high duty cycle it might be easier for you to make a non-isolated flyback depending on your requirements, but I leave that up to you.

    Thanks,
    Daniel
