BQ27520-G4: ChemID obtained from GPC tool is different from the ChemID in the Chemistry Programming Library

I have the following question that need your advises.

The ChemID stated in the Chemistry Programming Library for our battery cell is 2797. We used the value in our golden file.

Recently, we performed a charge/discharge of our system and sent the data file to GPC tool to obtain a ChemID value.

The recommended value is 3536 and the maximum DOD deviation is 1.42%.

Are you able to tell what is the naximum DOD deviation if we use 2797 for the ChemID?

Hey DanS,

If the report recommend ChemID 3536 then that would be the one you should use. I am unable to tell you that information for ChemID 2797.

Hi Nick,

We used the ChemID value from the Chemistry Programming Library and create the golden file. We performed tests and do not see any problem with our product running with the battery.

Am I right to say it should be fine to use the ChemID value in the library then? Thanks.

Hey DanS,

If you used that ChemID value and was able to successfully complete the learning cycle, then that ChemID is perfectly fine to use.
