BQ34Z100: Read/write error for data flash

Hi team,

Can you please tell due to what all reasons, the gauge reports "read of data written failed comparison", given that I have programmed it with the .srec, .bq.fs file and then with my chem ID. This error pops up whener I try to change some parameters in the data flash and ultimately I am not able to alter any parameter.

While calibration i get the error - "failed to enter calibration mode with command 0x2D"

There are multiple threads discussing this error, but no thread gives me an exact answer or reasoning for these errors.

Hi Shreya,

This error is usually due to the cell voltage being lower than the Flash Update OK Cell Voltage.

I would also ensure the gauge is unlocked full access and is not in sleep mode.

Hi Evan,

In the above picture, the SLEEP bit is LOW, and my pack voltage(230000mV scaled down to 38333mV) is well above Flash Update OK Cell Voltage (2800mV) and UNSEAL FULL ACCESS command was already sent before starting any calibration.

Hi Shreya,

This is on an EVM or a custom pcb?

Try updating BQstudio and the FW on the gauge. Or restoring to a default.

This is a custom PCB. I updated my device firmware as well as BQStudio to the latest 31 version. How should I restore to default settings?
