BQ79631-Q1: BQ79631-Q1

Part Number: BQ79631-Q1

SCH_MCU_2024-04-18-2.pdf

hello,

At present, we used the serial debugging assistant to send the wake sequence (TX pull down 2.5ms), It is found that the current increases by about 10mA-15mA(Using my own board), AVDD and DVDD jumped to a high level, and then sent [80 00 05 01 01 F5 8F] communication frame (1Mbps, 8-N-1), no return data.

My question is as follows:

1、Is this the correct communication process when only one BQ79631 chip is used?

2、In the software design reference document, I only use a BQ79631-Q1 chip to communicate, can I ignore the automatic addressing step?

3、We used a logic analyzer to check the signal on the RX pin of 79631, and automatically detected that the baud rate was indeed 1M and the time interval for each byte was 10us,The interval between each frame is 20ms, as shown in the figure:

  • Weilin,

Not doing the auto-addressing step means you cannot use read commands. You must perform that step no matter what devices you have or what configuration they have. You can find the steps to the auto-addressing sequence in the datasheet (link) in section 8.3.5.1.3 "Start Communication".

    Regards,

    Ben
