Part Number: TPS28225-Q1

TEXAS INSTRUMENTS - PCN : 20231220001.2 - Effective Date : 2024/06/20 - PCN Types : Fabrication site change / Qualification/Country of Origin/New Subcon (FAB)

About  the "CS2305251: PPAP20231227-028858",
Here I create the first post for the groups as Joselito Go requested.

TPS28225TDRQ1

According to our understanding in this PCN the change is related additional site. DQM risk assessment
and Test Flow chart related to this change has already been uploaded in Agile from my side.
Texas, as supplier needs to confirm:

- ESD standard for the new locations and the following information
should be available in the PPAP.
- Machine capability analysis
- Process capability analysis
- Run at rate
- Cleanliness (process chain)

Since we did not find these in PPAP-s we need help/advice where to find/identify them in PPAP documents.

Thank you and best regards,

  • Hey Tamas,

Thank you for your question regarding the TPS28225-Q1.

I see that there is a pending PPAP request that is waiting for approval. All requested information should be contained in that. I have contacted our team that handles PPAPs and they are working to get that PPAP approved.

Let me know if there are any further questions.

    Thank you,

    William Moore

  • Hello William!

    Thank you for answering !
Indeed I found some things that maybe would be acceptable for the customers, however
I did not find the run-at-rate and the cleanliness topic/informations. Could you send me these? Or the PPAP contains it somehow in a hidden way?

    Thank you in advance!
    Best regards,
    Tamas

  • Hey Tamas,

The PPAP is still waiting for approval from the BU and once it is, all of this requested information will be available in it, The team that handles this is working to get this approved.

    Thank you,

    William Moore

  • Hey Tamas,

The team that handles PPAPs informed me that the PPAP is getting approved today. But, for the requested information, they will need to select "PCN type" for their PPAP request.

    Thank you,

    William Moore

  • Hello William!

The reason for the PCN is:
"Texas Instruments Incorporated has qualified CLARK-PR as additional probe site"
    Its about Active components,
for the title I found this:

PCN Types : Fabrication site change / Qualification/Country of Origin/New Subcon (FAB)

I hope it could help you.

I found some ESD and Cpk datas in the PPAP we have.
Customer and our customer quality manager need the followings:
    Run-at-rate informations
    and
    Cleanliness (process chain)
    and perhaps some ppk datas.

so what we need are the followings once more to not forget:
    - ESD standard for the new locations and the following information
should be available in the PPAP.
    - Machine capability analysis
    - Process capability analysis
    - Run at rate
    - Cleanliness (process chain)

    Best regards,
    Tamas Szabo

  • Hey Tamas,

I am not able to provide that information publicly here. That information would be contained in the PCN PPAP documents as previously mentioned and the system does not show a PCN PPAP requested. Please submit a PCN PPAP request HERE. The only PPAP that has been requested is Level 3 which does not include the information needed regarding the PCN.

Also, can you tell me who the TSR/FAE for your account is?

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Thank you,

    William Moore

  • Hello William!

Your colleague, Seong asked that before last week. I do not have any contact with Field Applications Engineer at TI and I told that to him too.
I do not know how to contact with them from your side, I just had to open 5 tasks for only ONE PCN by groups, Joselito Go suggested me to handle this case like this.

Regarding the PPAP,  I see that lvl 3 needs Test results (performance, capability) and initial process capability (Cpk, Ppk). As I previously wrote, I found some Cpk and ESD informations in the PPAP, with some ppk datas.

And if I understand correctly, you will not provide Run-at-rate and Cleanliness documents for us, right?
    Please confirm it.

I forward TI's answer for the Quality team and the CQE, and our customer, BMW.

    Thank you and best regards,

  • Hey Tamas,

I have contacted an FAE regarding this and will plan to get them to reach out to you.

You are correct, the Level 3 PPAP provides that Cpk and ESD data that you are referring to. The Run-at-rate and cleanliness documentation would be provided with a PCN PPAP which is the step above a Level 3 PPAP. Once you request the PCN PPAP and it is approved, you will receive this requested information.

In regards to forwarding this information, this is NDA type information and forwarding that may be in violation of the NDA. So, be careful of that.

    Thank you,

    William Moore

  • Hello William!

  • Hello William!

We are going to request PPAP for this informations with the help of our colleagues via the link you sent me earlier.
Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) | TI.com

    Best regards,
    Tamas

  • Hey Tamas,

That is good. If that does not answer your questions please follow up here.

    Thank you,

    William Moore

  • Hello William!

    Yes we hope.

Please do not close this ticket until we are not 100% done.

    Best regards until,
    Tamas Szabo

  • Hey Tamas,

Yes, please update me if there are any questions and once you have 100% answered these questions.

    Thank you,

    William Moore

  • Hey Tamas,

I have looked to see the status of this and it appears that the PPAP request is listed a missing elements. Please ensure that everything has been provided for the PPAP so that it can be processed and completed.

    Thank you,

    William Moore

  • Hello William!

The status at this moment: Our global support from india requested the missing elements and one of your colleague asked that what section could he put in these for the PPAP, and after a research we told them the requirements, so I hope we can get these informations from TI finally :) I'll tell you if you can close this case.

    Machine Capability analysis:                 11

    Process Capability analysis:                   11

    Cleanliness (process chain):                  10

About run-at-rate:                                    They can put it in the section 14, but usually it’s the part of an APQP process, not PPAP. You can ask them if they have run-at-rate results, they should put them in section 14.

    Best regards,
    Tamás

  • Hey Tamas,

I have reached out to our PPAP admin team regarding this and have asked them to include that information in the corresponding sections.

Once you have received the PPAP with the needed information let me know and I will close this.

    Thank you,

    William Moore
